If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can turn on the Music Library Sync feature to access your music library and music downloaded from Apple Music on all your devices. In this article, I will show you how to activate this feature using the iPhone or iPad.
How to Enable Apple iCloud Music Library on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch?
In the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, library sync is enabled by default.This useful feature syncing your music library between your devices. Follow the steps for your iOS or iPadOS devices to enable it:
- Go to Settings -> Music;
- Turn on the “Sync Library” option. If you are not subscribed to Apple Music or iTunes Match, the Media Library Sync option will not appear.

How to Use Apple iCloud Music Library on a Mac?
- Open the Music application;
- At the top of the screen, select the menu Music -> Settings;
- Go to the “General” tab and enable the “Sync Library” option;
- Click OK.
Note: Make sure, you are subscribed to Apple Music or iTunes Match, otherwise “Sync Library” feature will not be displayed.
That’s all! If you subscribe to Apple Music, you will not need to enable access to your music library on other devices with support for the Music app, and you won’t need to enable the Media Library Sync option.
